I love the opening track, 'The Lord Is Here'. It immediately sets the tone for everything that follows. As the congregation sings, "We welcome You, King of Glory," you're invited into worship from the very first moments. It doesn't feel like listening to a live album; it feels like you've stepped into the room yourself.

These are songs that will undoubtedly find their way into churches around the world, yet it's the intimate setting that gives them an extra dimension. There's a genuine sense of space throughout the album, allowing every lyric to breathe. Nowhere is that more evident than on 'Room', where the stillness is simply beautiful. Sometimes the quietest moments in worship are the most powerful, and this song captures that perfectly.

'Jesus The Only' is one of the standout moments on the album. It carries a relentless, dramatic intensity from beginning to end, driven by unwavering conviction. This never feels like a performance. Instead, it's a bold declaration of faith, with every vocal delivered passionately and purposefully.

Another highlight is 'Your Presence', where the voices of the worship team and congregation blend together beautifully. There's something wonderfully uplifting about hearing everyone sing as one. It's a moment that feels both heavenly and deeply moving.

One thing I've always appreciated about Tiffany Hudson is her voice. It's instantly recognisable without ever demanding attention. She doesn't rely on vocal theatrics or imitation; instead, she leads worship with warmth, sincerity and authenticity. Her distinctive voice simply serves the songs, allowing the focus to remain where it belongs.

Musically, When You're In The Room takes a refreshingly understated approach. This isn't an album built around huge crescendos or arena-sized production. Instead, it allows the songs to develop naturally, moving from tender, intimate moments into powerful declarations without ever feeling rushed or over-produced. That restraint is one of the album's greatest strengths.

The musicianship throughout is exceptional. The arrangements are elegant and beautifully crafted, creating an atmosphere that continually points listeners towards worship rather than performance. The piano work on 'The Wonderful Blood' is particularly stunning, while 'Hallelujah Here Below' is another example of how simplicity can often have the greatest impact.

When You're In The Room isn't an album that shouts for your attention. Instead, it quietly invites you into God's presence, and that's exactly what makes it so special.
